Airport and hospital transfers in Delhi NCR
A guide to airport-to-hospital routes, vehicle types and how to request a transfer from an independent licensed operator.
Airport to hospital: common transfer routes in Delhi NCR
Distances are measured in a straight line from Indira Gandhi International Airport to each hospital, using the hospital’s stored coordinates. Road distance is longer. Drive time varies a lot with traffic and the time of day, so we do not quote minutes or prices here; a coordinator confirms both with the operator before you commit.
Straight-line distance, not road distance. Terminal positions are from OpenStreetMap.
Vehicle types explained
Sedan
One or two travellers with two or three bags. Suits a patient who can step into a normal car seat, with one caregiver.
SUV or MUV
Three to six travellers or more luggage. The higher seat is easier for some patients and harder for others, so tell us about mobility.
Wheelchair-accessible van
For a patient who stays in a wheelchair. These vehicles are scarce: availability must be confirmed for each booking, and a standard taxi is not a substitute.
Tempo traveller
A larger van for a family or a group with a caregiver and a lot of luggage. Confirm the pickup point can fit it.
Vehicles belong to independent licensed operators. Tell us about luggage, wheelchair use and caregivers so a suitable one is requested.
Request this transfer
Send the details and a coordinator asks an independent operator for a quote. Requesting does not charge you and does not book a vehicle.
Booking a transfer without surprises
A pickup goes smoothly when the driver knows where to meet you and what you need.
- Tell us the details: flight number and terminal, number of passengers and bags, the hospital or hotel name, and which entrance you need.
- Mobility: say if the patient uses a wheelchair, a walker or cannot climb into a high vehicle, so a suitable car is chosen.
- Delays: give a phone number that works in India, and ask what happens if your flight is late.
- What is included: ask in writing whether waiting time, tolls and parking are part of the fare.
- Long stays: for daily hospital trips, agree the pickup time with the hospital schedule rather than leaving it open.
Transfers are run by independent licensed operators we book on your behalf. Taxis are not medical transport. A patient who needs a stretcher, oxygen or an attendant should use scheduled medical transport, provided by independent transport operators, instead.
